Centre Manager Position
TUKSNOVATION NPC is a proudly University of Pretoria’s, Business Technology Incubator and Accelerator that invites applications to the position of:
5 Year fixed term contract, subject to the successful completion of a 6 (six) months’ probation period.
Main Purpose of the Position:
The main purpose of this position is to provide effective leadership in fulfilling the mandate of TuksNovation NPC (“the Company”) and to meet its strategic goals and objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible to lead and manage the Company under the direction of the Board of Directors.

Preferred Minimum Qualifications and Experience: A relevant university degree at Honors level in either Engineering, Information Technology (IT) / Business Management / Finance or equivalent • A relevant Master’s degree will be an added advantage • At least 5-7 years’ experience in a high – tech entrepreneurial environment • Successful track record in formulation of business strategy and corporate governance • Broad understanding of the SMME environment in South Africa • People management acumen • Strong Financial management and leadership skills • A proven record of building businesses and/or establishing funding networks.
Key Performance Areas: Act as an Accounting Officer for the Company • Provide strategic leadership • Guide a cohesive high performance team • Develop a funding model and fundraising for the sustainability of the Company • Ensure that the Company is strategically well positioned in respect of public relations • Build local and International networks supportive of enterprise development • Ensure that relevant strategies impacting on Enterprise Development are fully implemented and executed.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills: The candidate must have proven senior management experience including working with Boards – experience in working with industry, Government are added advantages and a general understanding of the requirements of the Public Finance Management Act ( “PFMA’).

- Salary: A maximum CTC package can be negotiated.
◊ The appointee will report to the Board and will be required to sign a limited duration fixed term employment contract and an annual performance agreement. The Company is based in Pretoria on the University of Pretoria, Hatfield campus.
