This Privacy Policy serves as a general notice to you, informing you of Tuksnovation’s commitment to privacy protection within its day-to-day operations. This notice forms part of Tuksnovation’s website terms and conditions.

Tuksnovation (“we”, “us” or “our”) is committed to establishing a corporate culture that recognises the right to privacy by maintaining good relationships with community members: client ventures, aspiring and existing entrepreneurs, the broader ecosystem stakeholders, and anyone who freely wishes to be part of our community.

Part of our day-to-day operations and engagement with our community will include Processing of Personal Information. Data protection and privacy of our community members are important to us, therefore we are aligned with POPIA and any relevant legislation that imposes legal obligations on us.

Where applicable and in line with our Privacy Policy and data protection laws and regulations, we may share data of our community members with our funders, stakeholders and important delegations and visitors to our facilities. We will apply due care as we Process Personal Information of our community members.


TuksNovation is a technology business incubator that provides specialised product and business development support to startups.

Through partnerships TuksNovation provides an ecosystem for corporates and to support new and upcoming start-ups. TuksNovation collaborates with student entrepreneurial challenges and events to give students the opportunity to engage with the start-up community.


The Personal Information we collect includes;

  • information you knowingly and actively provide us when you contact us or sign up on our website;
  • information collected at physical networking events;
  • information you send when you contact us through the website, social media and any similar technology;
  • when you participate in any of our services; and
  • any information automatically sent by your devices in the course of accessing our website (through cookies).

This Personal Information may include one or more the following:

  • Preferred contact number;
  • Venture details;
  • Venture activity description; and
  • Team details.

We will ensure that your Personal Information is handled in accordance with the POPIA and any relevant legislation that imposes legal obligations on us. By visiting and/or contacting us through the Website (or otherwise engaging with us), you acknowledge that we may Process your Personal Information as set out in this Privacy Policy.

Google analytics: This is tracking software from Google, which we use to monitor how users interact with the website, in order for us to improve its functionality and content.

We only Process your Personal Information when we have a legitimate reason for doing so. In which instance, we only collect Personal Information that is reasonably necessary to provide our services to you. We agree to use your information solely to perform our duties on your behalf.

We undertake not to use your Personal Information for any unlawful purpose, but we may release your information when we believe the release is appropriate to comply with the law or enforce our policies or to protect our rights.

  • Change and strengthen our online logins, passwords and security.
  • Make sure all website themes and plugins are up to date.
  • Inform all affected clients.

  • request details of any Personal Information we hold about you;
  • withdraw your consent to be part of our community if you had consented thereof;

You may at any time, exercise your right under the Privacy Policy by sending an email to or you may automatically unsubscribe from our database if we use an automated newsletter tool. We will take reasonable steps to promptly address your request

If your Personal Information is no longer required, we will delete it or make it anonymous by removing all details that identify you.

At our discretion and in line with regulatory changes, our Privacy Policy may be amended to reflect updates to our business and legislative data management processes, and current acceptable practices. Amendments of this Privacy Policy will be posted here on the website.
